RR Psalm 34:20,21 Part 15
(Early) Shabbat Shalom {{firstName}},
Psalm 34:20 Many are the distresses of the righteous, but Adonai delivers him out of them all. 21 He keeps all his bones—not one of them is broken.
Wait a minute! Could this be a Messianic prophesy? All of a sudden we’re not talking about a PEOPLE who are righteous, but a PERSON who is righteous. It is not all THOSE who are crushed in spirit, but ONE who has no broken bones. John 19:33 Now when they came to Yeshua and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
Is this a stretch? Did it suddenly appear out of nowhere, or is the idea that the Messiah should have no broken bones supported in other Scriptures? Yeshua is the Lamb. John 1:29 The next day, John sees Yeshua coming to him and says, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
And that Passover Lamb is not to have its bones broken. Exodus 12:43a Then Adonai said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover…. 46 It is to be eaten inside a single house. You are not to carry the meat out of the house, nor are you to break any of its bones. And this is repeated in Numbers… Numbers 9:12 They are not to leave any of it until morning, or break any bones. When they celebrate Passover they are to observe all its regulations.
Even so, when we believe on Yeshua, we share in His blessings. Distresses, yes, but also deliverance “out of them all.” Psalm 50:15 “Call upon Me in the day of trouble. When I rescue you, you will honor Me.” Therefore; our call is to share in His suffering AND to share in His glory.
Romans 8:16 The Ruach Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. 17 And if children, also heirs—heirs of God and joint-heirs with Messiah—if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. Shalom shalom.
