RR Psalm 53:4,5 Part 3
Shalom,
Psalm 53:4 All have turned aside—together they have become corrupt. There is no one who does good—no, not even one! 5 Will the evildoers never learn? They consume My people as they would eat bread, and never call upon God.
There is that thought again, “There is no one who does good—no, not even one!” How appropriate is the follow up question that starts verse 5? “Will the evildoers never learn?” It is endemic to the title “evildoers.” If they ever did learn, they would no longer be evildoers! Ezekiel 18:23 “Do I delight at all in the death of the wicked?” It is a declaration of Adonai. “Rather, should he not return from his ways, and live?”
The way of sin is death. That message is pasted throughout the Bible from cover to cover. Genesis 3:19 “By the sweat of your brow will you eat food, until you return to the ground, since from it were you taken. For you are dust, and to dust will you return.” We all have this terminal illness called sin, that is, until we enter the New Covenant by faith in Messiah Yeshua.
1Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we, removed from sins, might live for righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.” 25 For you like sheep were going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
Affirm that Yeshua is who He says He is. Matthew 16:15 He said, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 11:25 Yeshua said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life! Whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She says to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, Ben-Elohim who has come into the world.”
Believe this and never die. Shalom shalom.
