Psalm 28:7 – Part 10

Psalm 28:7 Adonai is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped. Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and I will praise Him with my song.

Yesterday, we dealt with verse 7 part “C.”  Today, we conclude the verse with part “D,” the last two words in Hebrew.  “U’Mishiri Ah’hodenu” means, “And with my song, I will praise Him.”  This is the expression of a person who can’t stop praising God.  It is actually the logical product of a person who has completed the first three parts of this verse.

Think about it… we start with a declaration that Adonai is my strength and my shield.  Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me.  Not only that, Adonai is my shield.  Psalm 91:4  He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness is body armor and shield.

Follow that up with another two part blessing… trust in Him and be helped.  Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. The one who trusts in God is able to live without fear.  Yeshua gave us this command… John 14:27 “Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.”

I just can’t let this one go by… 2Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.  Part C prophesies a journey filled with joy.  Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life. Abundance of joys are in Your presence, eternal pleasures at Your right hand.  Which leads us to this inescapable conclusion… I can’t help myself, I must praise Him by singing!

Psalm 34:4  Magnify Adonai with me and let us exalt His Name together.

As if to underline everything we just been saying, the very next verse of Psalm 34 proclaims deliverance.

Psalm 34:5  I sought Adonai, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

May we all have the victorious life God has planned for His people.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope. 12 “Then you will call on Me, and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart.”

Shalom shalom.
