RR Psalm 41:12(11) – Part 7

Shalom,

Psalm 41:12 By this I know that You delight in me: that my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.

Rabbi Trail: Were you wondering?  I’ve been writing the RR since the end of June 2017, (that’s 8 1/2 years) and finally it happened….  Last Friday I made a mistake and left out a verse, and I can’t see a way to fix it.  I inadvertently left out Psalm 41:12(11).  So, I’m making it up today as I call this “Psalm 41:12(11) – Part 7 (revised).”  I have relabeled the RR for last Friday “Psalm 41:13(12) - Part 8 (originally Part 7).”  So sorry for the confusion.  I hope to be forgiven by everyone, both great and small.  End RT.

Would it surprise you to know that the Lord, our God, the Creator of the Universe, takes delight in you?  The following verse is in quotes because it is prophesied as being spoken over Jerusalem.  However; if you belong to the Lord, you may claim it as your own, for you are a part of New Jerusalem.

Zephaniah 3:17 “Adonai your God is in your midst—a mighty Savior! He will delight over you with joy. He will quiet you with His love. He will dance for joy over you with singing.”

Jan and I have been ministering a series of messages for two years from the Song of Solomon.  (Next week we will continue with Song 6:10ff.)   Even a quick reading of the Song of Solomon reveals this truth.  The point is this… God passionately loves looking at you.  In fact, He created the world so that He would have a place to fully express His love.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Our enemies will not shout in victory because they will have no victory over which to shout.  Let there be no doubt, God has promised victory to His people.  1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah!

The very next verse is a written statement of encouragement.  We are called to be “unshakable”… 1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dearly loved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord—because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.  Shalom shalom.
