RR Psalm 60:7 Part 3
Shalom,
Psalm 60:7 Save with Your right hand and answer us, so that Your beloved may be delivered.
How is that going to happen? There are two operative words here, and they appear at the beginning and at the end of the English translation. Save us (in Hebrew “Hoshiah,” also the basis of “Hosana.” The second word is “delivered.” (in Hebrew “Yay-chal-tzun,” from “Chalatz” meaning (in addition to “deliver,” it also connotes one who is armed for defense or strengthened.
Back to the original question, how will this take place? Did God make a provision for our salvation and deliverance? Some of this is now starting to sound familiar, isn’t it! God’s has a “right hand” man, His Son, Yeshua. He is our defense and our deliverer. Want proof?
Psalm 94:22 But Adonai has been my fortress and my God the rock of my refuge.
Psalm 18:3(2) Adonai is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in Him I take refuge, my shield, my horn of salvation, my stronghold.
The “answer” God gives us is His Son, Yeshua. His defense is more than protection. God answers our prayer by actually standing in for us. He took our place, and gave his life, so we could live with Him.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Just because this verse is overused doesn’t disqualify from being the perfect fit to end this RR. Shalom shalom.
