RR Psalm 63:10,11 Part 6
(Early) Shabbat Shalom,
Psalm 63:10 But those who seek my soul to destroy it will go down to the depths of the earth. 11 They will be gutted by the sword, and become a prey for jackals.
“But”… there is always a “but.” Just when we are ready to step into our inheritance (the promised victory), invariably there is someone or something ready to oppose us. David had his enemies, and so do we. 1Timothy 4:1 Now the Ruach clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, following deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. “But God,” (There is that “but” again, and we should thank God for this one!)… Matthew 24:22 And unless those days were cut short, no one would be delivered. But for the sake of the chosen, those days will be cut short.
The pervasive message of all Scripture is His assurance that we should not be afraid of our enemies. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. In fact, God is preparing us, not to fight, but to stand firm in the day of battle. Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm.
Remember “armor” is not a weapon, it is a defense. God is going to do the fighting. This prophesy was not given TO you, but it was given FOR you. 2Chronicles 20:17 “You will not fight in this battle. Take your positions, stand and see the salvation of Adonai with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or be dismayed. Tomorrow go out to face them, for Adonai is with you.’”
Adonai is with us! All we have left is to stand firm and receive it by faith. This is the Spirit of God speaking to us all. Shalom shalom.
