Shavei Tzion

​Return to Zion was founded in 2001 by Leon and Nina Mazin, and is primarily composed of Russian-speaking immigrants from the former Soviet Union (Jeremiah 31:8), it has since grown to second and even third generations of Hebrew speaking believers. In 2004, with God's blessing, RTZ expanded to Upper Nazareth and again in the Haifa suburb in 2023.

Leon & Nina were both born in the former USSR, and their families immigrated to Israel in the early 1990s. They've been happily married since 1993 and have six children and four grandchildren. Since 2001, the Congregation & Ministry, "Return to Zion", has experienced remarkable growth and impact, thanks to the tireless efforts of our coworkers, ministers, and employees. Their dedication and the generous support of our donors have made it possible for us to make a meaningful impact on our community.
