(Early) Shabbat Shalom,
Daily Bread, reading plan by Lars Enarson (https://www.thewatchman.org/)
Fri 27-Nov-2020 11th of Kislev, 5781
Ge 31:17-42 1 Sa 10-11 Ps 52-53 Mk 9:1-29 (1 Co 5)
By now, if you have not been more responsible than I have ever been, you have exceeded the recommended daily calorie intake, even if you allow a 30% premium for the Thanksgiving holiday (which there isn’t any such thing). Oh well, it is only one day a year. But, as Scarlett O’Hara said in Gone With The Wind, “Tomorrow is another day.” Oops, I misapplied that quote. The rest of it is, “As God is my witness, I’ll never go hungry again.”
We just want to say a little prayer in this RR (which is being written at the end of Thanksgiving Day)… for how thankful we are. This has been and is a very challenging year. Yet, this truth remains, God is good and God is on the throne. His kingdom cannot be shaken (but everything else will be). Thank you, Lord, that You have chosen us to be Your ambassadors at such a time as this. It is our honor to proclaim Your name on earth and to carry Your name into eternity. Now anoint us, Lord, for this cause in these days. The victory belongs to You, Lord. This we will declare at every occasion. With never ending love, in Yeshua’s name. Amen.
One more thought… You have told us in Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in Adonai, and He will give you the requests of your heart. Lord, we delight ourselves in You, so now, Lord, we claim the requests of our hearts, that your righteousness and justice, would rule in our land.
Thank You, Lord, for You sit in heaven laughing, for You have already declared the decree. Psalm 2:6 “I have set up My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.” So be it, amen.
Week 48
Memory Verse: Philippians 3: 7 But whatever things were gain to me, these I have considered as loss for the sake of the Messiah. 8 More than that, I consider all things to be loss in comparison to the surpassing value of the knowledge of Messiah Yeshua my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things; and I consider them garbage in order that I might gain Messiah
