De 14:22-29Ez 461 Ch 26(Jn 12:1-19)2 Ti 4
The Bible is full of questions, but it is also full of answers. Many questions seem to focus on bread. I’m glad Lars named his reading plan “Daily Bread.” Yeshua answered the temptation of Satan with these words… Matthew 4:4 But He (Yeshua) replied, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” But where is it written? It is a quote from the Torah, Deuteronomy 8:3 He afflicted you and let you hunger, then He fed you manna —which neither you nor your fathers had known—in order to make you understand that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of Adonai.
God has revealed His wisdom throughout the Scriptures. Therefore; we, ourselves, need to know the Word of God well enough to use it as the Sword of the Spirit like God intended. Yeshua is our example in this. A crowd had followed Yeshua into Capernaum when they asked him this question…. John 6:28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do to perform the works of God?”
Meditate on Yeshua’s answer…. John 6:29 Yeshua answered them, “This is the work of God, to trust in the One He sent.” How do we trust in Yeshua? We “trust” by believing His promises. And how can we believe His promises unless we know what He said, as it is recorded in Scripture. Everything seems to circle back to knowing the Scripture. This is our daily bread.
John 6:35 Yeshua said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. The following verses prove this teaching is true. John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will but the will of the One who sent Me. 39 “Now this is the will of the One who sent Me, that I lose not one of all He has given Me, but raise each one on the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and trusts in Him may have eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day.”
These words made the Judeans grumble. They were thinking, “We know His parents, so how can He say He came down from heaven?” Don’t over-think this. Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of time came, God sent out His Son, born of a woman and born under law— 5 to free those under law, so we might receive adoption as sons. 6 Now because you are sons, God sent the Ruach of His Son into our hearts, who cries out, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave but a son—and if a son, also an heir through God.
What is your number one issue today? Take it to the Father in prayer right now and invite His divine wisdom to provide your answer. Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you— I will tell you great and hidden things, which you do not know.” Receive your daily bread from heaven.
