(Early) Shabbat Shalom,
One In Messiah part 31 – Romans, part 142
Rom 10:16 But not all heeded the Good News. For Isaiah says, “Adonai, who has believed our report?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Messiah.
How many times have we said, biblical hearing is done in the heart, not in the ears? Whatever the correct answer is to that question, now it is one more. If we truly “hear” God, there will be evidence, evidence in the form of action.
Change is THE way of life for a Yeshua follower. If we tell Yeshua, “Keep the change,” then we will hear Him say to us in response… Matthew 7:23b “I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!”
Faith is built upon faithfulness. Another word for faithfulness is obedience. One who obeys is faithful. When we stand before Him at the final judgment, we want to hear Yeshua say words of approval and acceptance. Matthew 25:23b “Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a little, so I’ll put you in charge of much. Enter into your master’s joy!”
One last note today… Romans 3:3 So what if some did not trust? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? 4a May it never be! Let God be true even if every man is a liar. “Some did not trust (believe).” So what! Jewish people have been allowing some rabbis and other leaders, who died in unbelief 2,000 years ago, to make a vital decision for them.
Is Yeshua the promised Messiah, Who is Lord and Savior? This is huge, and something each person should decide personally. Faith is based on the “word of Messiah!” Who fulfills this prophecy?
Psalm 69:8 For I have endured scorn for Your sake. Disgrace has covered my face…. 14 But as for me, my prayer to You, Adonai, is for a time of favor. O God, in Your great love, answer me with the truth of Your salvation.
The rabbis today will tell you that is speaking about Israel, or King David, or anyone other than Yeshua Himself. The obvious truth usually is obvious. You know the highest calling for any Jewish person? Receive the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, as your Lord and Savior! Shalom shalom and early Shabbat Shalom.
