Rabbi’s Reflections – Friday, April 15, 2022
(Early) Shabbat Shalom and Chad HaPesach Sameach,

Chad Sameach!!! (Happy Holiday!!!).  The spring Feasts of the Lord are upon us. العب انترنت   They begin tonight at sundown.  Exodus 12:3 Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his family one lamb for the household…. 6 You must watch over it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to slaughter it at twilight.  The term translated as “twilight” is “Bain HaAravim,” literally, “between the evenings.”

In the wanderings of the children of Israel for 40 years in the desert, this is the moment when the pillar of cloud became the pillar of fire.  It’s also the moment when Yeshua (Who is the reality of all things) gave up His life on earth as a man.  Matthew 27:50 And Yeshua cried out again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit.

This precipitated some earth shattering events….  Matthew 27:51 And behold, the curtain of the Temple was split in two, from top to bottom. And the earth quaked and rocks were split apart. 52 And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the kedoshim who were sleeping were raised to life. 53 And coming forth out of the tombs after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Since then, we have been looking forward to His triumphant return.  Revelation 1:3 How fortunate is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and those who hear and keep what has been written in it—for the time is near. And what will happen?  Revelation 1:7 “Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Yes, amen!” 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says Adonai Elohim, “Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty!”

May it happen speedily and in our day.  Zechariah 14:9 Adonai will then be King over all the earth. In that day Adonai will be Echad and His Name Echad.

One of the many other names for Passover is “Z’man Cherutenu,” Maning “the season of our freedom.”  Jan and I wish you all the blessings of the kingdom of God during this holiday season.

Isaiah 53, part 8

Isaiah 53:10a Yet it pleased Adonai to bruise Him. He caused Him to suffer.

Still more great Hebrew words in Isaiah 53:10.  This time, let’s back up to part A.  The Hebrew says “YHVH Chafetz,” meaning “The Lord is delighted.”  In the Hebrew, the Lord is delighted to crush Him (Dacho) and make Him sick (Hecheli).  Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities. The chastisement for our shalom was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

Tonight we memorialize His suffering.  Passover started out as a memorial of the Exodus from Egypt, but has now become a memorial of another exodus, namely, our exodus from slavery to sin. قوانين لعبة اونو   We take Yeshua’s suffering seriously, but not unto grief.  The Lord is delighted, and we must be also, that through His suffering, our way has been made straight. كازينو العرب

Hebrews 2:9 But we see One who was made for a little while lower than the angels—namely, Yeshua. He is now crowned with glory and honor, because of the death He suffered so that, by the grace of God, He might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for God—for whom and through whom all things exist—in leading many sons to glory, to perfect through sufferings the initiator of their salvation.

Week 16
Memory Verse: 1 Samuel 17:46 This very day Adonai will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and take your head off you, and I will give the carcasses of the Philistines’ camp today to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth. Then all the earth will know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and so all this assembly will know that Adonai delivers not with sword and spear—for the battle belongs to Adonai—and He will give you into our hands.”
