Shalom,
Special Report
A Break From Romans
Below is a link to an article published a few days ago by All Israel News Service. It focuses on a proposed law that would make it illegal to share the gospel in Israel. It’s a little long, but worth the time. Please pray that God’s plan for the redemption of Israel will take place speedily and in our days! And let everyone say, “Amen.”
Rabbi Trail: There have always been anti-missionaries in Israel. They make a living out of terrorizing the Jewish community by building fear of all believers in Yeshua, whom they always call “missionaries.” I only pray that we would be half as effective as they say we are. In the Jesus movement of 50 (or so) years ago, young Jewish people stopped using drugs (and stopped many other forms of ungodly behavior) and turned their lives over to Yeshua in large numbers. May such an “epidemic” come again to the children of Israel. End RT.
Summary: The article is a report of the proposal by two MKs (Members of the Knesset) to make evangelizing in Israel illegal. The current law does not prohibit evangelism (as is widely misunderstood). There are only two “NO”s in the current law. No evangelizing of minors (without his/her parent’s permission), and no payment, inducement or bribe to urge a person to change their religion. This proposal would change that and take away a large part of the freedom of speech in Israel. End Summary.
You might be asking yourself if this is a threat to the purposes of God. Let me offer these thoughts. The gospel always flourishes where it is forbidden. Adam and Eve had only one law, and they had to have that “forbidden fruit.” May this proposed bill, should it pass and become law, cause Jewish people to crave that “forbidden fruit” of the gospel. The Lord has a rich history of turning the wiles of the enemy against himself.
Joseph understood this… Genesis 50:20 Yes, you yourselves planned evil against me. God planned it for good, in order to bring about what it is this day—to preserve the lives of many people. Remember this… God is on the throne and His purposes will be accomplished, and His purpose is worldwide revival through the salvation of all Israel. Romans 11:15 For if their rejection leads to the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
May God make every effort of the enemy work only to the benefit of His kingdom. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you will prosper and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Adonai’s servants— their vindication is from Me.” It is a declaration of Adonai. In Yeshua’s name. Amen.
