Shalom,

Psalms
Psalm 24:7 – Part 6

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors: that the King of glory may come in.

This verse is so wonderful that it is repeated in verse 9.  If the Psalm is a song, then this repetition is the chorus.  As the Lord, Yeshua, is establishing His millennial (1,000 year) reign, we, the redeemed, are all singing His praises as the “Melech HaKavod,” “King of Glory.”  Yes, we have this promise, “Hu Yavo,” “He will come.”

Revelation 20:6 How fortunate and holy is the one who has a share in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no authority, but they shall be kohanim of God and the Messiah, and they shall reign with Him for a thousand years.

We are all on the road to Jerusalem.  Our destiny is not a city, per se, but a state of being called “New Jerusalem.”  Rev 21:2 I also saw the holy city—the New Jerusalem—coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 I also heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the dwelling of God is among men, and He shall tabernacle among them. They shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them and be their God. 4 He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more. Nor shall there be mourning or crying or pain any longer, for the former things have passed away.” 5a And the One seated upon the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new!”

Oh happy day… in the musical stage play, “Finnian’s Rainbow,” it has been called “that great ‘come and get it’ day.” However; in the interest of full disclosure, I must tell you that the road to Jerusalem is fraught with peril.  John 13:16 “Amen, amen I tell you, a servant isn’t greater than his master, and the one who is sent isn’t greater than the one who sent him…. John 15:20  “Remember the word I spoke to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also.

Remember this though… the persecution is not for nothing.  You will receive the promised reward.  Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great! For in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Yeshua wants to take you in His arms and carry you across the threshold, through the open doors and into the wedding chamber.  Isaiah 61:10 I will rejoice greatly in Adonai. My soul will be joyful in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me in a robe of righteousness—like a bridegroom wearing a priestly turban, like a bride adorning herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes things sown to spring up, so Adonai Elohim will cause justice and praise to spring up before all the nations. Shalom shalom.
