Shalom,

A Prayer For Today
Part 10

Zechariah 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the kohen gadol standing before the angel of Adonai and the satan, standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2  Adonai said to the satan (adversary), ‘Adonai rebukes you, the satan. Indeed Adonai, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. Is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?’

The long time deceased saints are asking, “How Long?”  Revelation 6:9 When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slaughtered for the sake of the word of God and for the witness they had. 10 And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “O Sovereign Master, holy and true, how long before You judge those who dwell on the earth and avenge our blood?”

These martyred saints are told it’s not just about them, but they/we must wait for many others who have not yet been included.  Revelation 6:11b …and they were told to rest a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants was complete—their brothers and sisters who were to be killed as they had been.

Take comfort in this… God is on the throne, yesterday, today and forever.  Just as He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah to preserve Abraham (and his family), so God is still orchestrating world events according to His master plan for humanity.  Things will get worse before they can get better.  We’re not yet ready for better.  These days are designed by God to teach us what a lousy administrator the adversary is.  Soon, in the millennial reign, God will show us what a wonderful administrator He is.

Then the adversary will be released for a season, to see who will still be foolish enough to follow him.  Don’t fall for it, you’ve been warned.
