Shalom,
A Prayer For Today
Part 5
Zechariah 2:11(7) “Oy, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.”
This is our subject verse for today. In a moment we will pray into this warning from the Lord. It is very close to the heart of what we’re seeing in modern Israel. God’s people are back in the land. (There are more Jewish people living in the land of Israel than there are living in the rest of the world combined.) However; God has brought Jewish people back for a purpose, so that they (we) would walk in righteousness, and that purpose is left unfulfilled by most of the current citizens of Israel.
Jeremiah 29:12 “Then you will call on Me, and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart. 14 Then I will be found by you,” says Adonai, “and I will return you from exile, and gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,” says Adonai, “and I will bring you back to the place from which I removed you as captives into exile.”
You might say, “Wasn’t that accomplished long ago before Yeshua’s first coming?” Yes, it was. However; God always does things in layers. Before His second coming, there is another in gathering. We are witnessing it, but it’s not complete. The Jewish people must come out of Babylon.
Rabbi Trail: “Babylon” is now a euphemism for the confusion of the attractions of this world (think Tower of Babel). To come out of Babylon is to turn toward God and His righteousness. This cannot be done without seeing the Son, clinging to Him, and listening to Him. End RT.
Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you participate in her sins and receive her plagues!”
Let us pray… Dear heavenly Father, all Israel is living in various levels of trauma today. Only You, oh Lord, have the answers to the issues of life. Only You can satisfy. We call upon you right now, oh Lord, to reveal Yourself in unmistakeable ways to Your people Israel.
Just as You delivered all Israel from Egyptian bondage one ago, so now, oh Lord, deliver your people Israel from slavery to sin. Bring Your people out of the darkness of Babylon and into the marvelous light of Your Son Yeshua, Who is the righteousness of God in bodily form. Hear our voices as we cry out to You for the salvation of Your people. In Yeshua’s name we pray. Amen.
