Announcement:  The new issue of RESTORE Magazine is out as of Wednesday.  This is the second edition.  The intention is to publish on the first of every new Hebrew month.  This past Wednesday evening was Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan.  Ben Juster, president of Tikkun America, is inviting you to a free subscription to this online magazine.  Here is the link to subscribe.  https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/UTLgsQK/magazine?source_id=4df58105-39d8-44d6-9a37-bf324d63c954&source_type=em&c=1GjmbU9T7OLRcfYPqS2v4LaMgKgIBFAqzL0_UShYjz0F1mIJj0OsQQ==

What prayer is better known than “The Lord’s Prayer?”  Five verses of Scripture just about everyone has memorized (Matthew 6:9-13).  The second verse is Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?  Yet actually doing it takes a lifetime of growth.

God’s will is always done in heaven.  The last vestige of rebellion (not doing God’s will) in heaven was dealt with by God both quickly and completely.  Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down—the ancient serpent, called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

This is confirmed in many other places of Scripture.  Isaiah 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, O brightstar, son of the dawn! How you are cut down to the earth, you who made the nations prostrate! And this… Luke 10:18 And Yeshua said to them, “I was watching satan fall like lightning from heaven.

This is the challenge; doing the will of God among the rebellious demons that have been cast out of God’s heaven and into the earth.  This is why the salvation experience is critical.  Our own testimony is the fruit of Yeshua’s testimony.  One place we read of Yeshua’s testimony is Psalm 40:6 Many things You have done, Adonai my God —Your plans for us are wonderful— there is none to be compared to You! If I were to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to count! 7 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire —my ears You have opened— burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. 8 Then I said: “Here I am, I have come— in the scroll of a book it is written about me. 9 I delight to do Your will, O my God. Yes, Your Torah is within my being.”

With all that wonder and delight, what are we going to do?  If we try to keep silent, we can’t.  The very next verse says… Psalm 40:10 I proclaim good news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I am not shutting my lips— Adonai, You know!

What does the Lord know?  He knows “I am not shutting my lips.”  Yeshua didn’t and neither should we.
