Shavuah Tov,
Psalms
Psalm 22:29 – Part 25
Psalm 22:29 For the kingdom belongs to Adonai, and He rules over the nations.
The Hebrew word for “kingdom” is “M’lu’cha.” This is from the same Shoresh as the Hebrew for “king” which is “Melech.” What is a kingdom without a king? Certainly not a kingdom at all. Of course we’re historically used to kings who claim “divine right.” This typically goes beyond a king claiming that he rules by appointment of God, Himself. Many “Divine Right” kings have claimed to BE god.
Our God, however; doesn’t just claim to be god, He is God, the One true and living God, creator of heaven and earth. This is the One God of the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4). And when I say “God” I mean Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is not a “New Testament” invention, as the rabbis propose, but all three are mentioned in a single verse by Isaiah, the Jewish prophet, speaking prophetically the words of Yeshua.…
Isaiah 48:16 Draw near to Me, hear this: Since the beginning, I have not spoken in secret. From the time it existed, I was there. So now Adonai Elohim has sent Me, and His Ruach.”
There you have it… all Three in One. And this “sent one” is affirmed and explained in the very next verse….
Isa 48:17 Thus says Adonai, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am Adonai your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.
Yeshua is “your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Yeshua prayed, John 17:21 “…that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me.” Yeshua is praying that you and I will be included as part of His family!
This is the fulfillment of the waving of the Lulav and Etrog on Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles). The three types of branches (representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) are waved together with the Etrog (a Citron, chosen because it is the size and shape of a human heart, plus it smells sweet). So there are then four species together representing the trihune God together with man. Such a magnificent destiny.
1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, “Things no eye has seen and no ear has heard, that have not entered the heart of mankind—these things God has prepared for those who love Him.” (Quoting Isaiah 64:3)
There is more to say about this. Let’s pick it up again tomorrow. Shalom shalom.
