Shalom,

Psalms
Psalm 24:1 – Part 1

Psalm 24:1 A psalm of David. The earth is Adonai’s and all that fills it—the world, and those dwelling on it.

So we begin the third, and last, of the trilogy of Psalms previously mentioned.  We will see that this one declares the millennial reign to be established by God on the earth, as Yeshua takes up His throne in His Temple in Jerusalem.

Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth will be filled with knowing the glory of Adonai, as the waters cover the sea…. 20 But Adonai is in His holy Temple. Let all the land be silent before Him.

There is a promise in Psalm 24 verse 1 that all the earth (and everything in it) belongs to Yehovah(YHVH).  This promise is actually based on Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  And when God’s work was completed, it was “very good.”  Genesis 1:31 So God saw everything that He made, and behold it was very good. So there was evening and there was morning—the sixth day.  Do you suppose the One Who created everything is the rightful owner?  In these first few verses of Psalm 24, King David is establishing the sovereignty of God.

That sovereignty of Yehovah was challenged by HaSatan, who lead a rebellion the hope of which is to make God into a liar.  However; Hebrews 6:18b …it is impossible for God to lie….  Moreover; there is zero tolerance for sinful rebellion in God’s heaven.

Revelation 12:7 And war broke out in heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they were not strong enough, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down—the ancient serpent, called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Since Adam, the first man, fell into sin (rebellion against God, which started 6,000 years ago) we have been living on earth under Satan’s administration.  Look around you.  It should be easy to see what a lousy administrator Satan is.  His administration is that of pain, suffering, sorrow, sickness, disease and yes, death.  Romans 5:12 So then, just as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, in the same way death spread to all men because all sinned.  Not so with Yeshua, who will return to reign for 1,000 years (the promised millennial reign).  Better get ready, Yeshua is coming!

Revelation 21:8 But for the cowardly and faithless and detestable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars—their lot is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Shalom shalom.
