Question of the day: Who is responsible for the crucifixion of Yeshua?
Answer: This was a hard section to read. While it is a sad episode in human history, we must remember… Isaiah 53:10a Yet it pleased Adonai to bruise Him. He caused Him to suffer.
It has now been almost 2 complete millennia since these things happened. Since then, men throughout history have sought to blame someone for the crucifixion of Yeshua HaMashiach. Who should we blame? The Jews? The Jewish leaders? The Romans? The Roman leaders?
I say we look into the mirror and blame ourselves. It was for you and me that Yeshua went willingly to the cross. Certainly, Yeshua could have saved Himself… Matthew 26:53 Or do you suppose that I cannot call on My Father, and at once He will place at My side twelve legions of angels?
Instead, He willingly gave Himself so that we who believe on Him would be saved. That should make every one of us get on our knees and give thanks with grateful hearts.
