Question of the day: Is Yeshua’s resurrection a conspiracy theory?
Answer: Conspiracy theories are quite popular these days. Strange that I’m writing on September 11th for September 12th. September 11th conspiracy theories abound. Here’s a conspiracy that is not a theory.…
The ruling elders of Israel gave a bribe to the Roman soldiers with these instructions (concerning the reporting of Yeshua’s missing body – which had been resurrected from the dead).
Matthew 28:13 “Tell them, (the people) ’His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we were sleeping.’ 14 And if this is heard by the governor, we’ll appease him and keep you out of trouble.”
The four Gospels all agree on the resurrection. Yeshua appeared to many in His resurrected state. The message He brought was consistent, “Meet Me in the Galilee.”
And there is one more evidence that to me is the greatest of all. The disciples all suffered martyr’s deaths. Through all of their torture and sacrifice, not one of them changed their story. If the resurrection were a lie, wouldn’t at least one of them caved in and told the “truth.”
Anti-missionary rabbis have long believed that the entire New Testament was invented from lies. They believe so many prophesies are fulfilled by Yeshua because the NT was written with that in mind.
Yet, all along it is they (anti-missionary rabbis) who are avoiding the significance of prophesies throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. Scriptures that point to a promised savior who had to come as a suffering servant (Mashiach ben Yoseph) before he would return after 2,000 years (see Hosea 6:2) as Mashiach ben David.
Let’s keep it simple. Believe the Scriptures. All of them.
