Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick):

Assistant to the Rabbi:

Write and lead the monthly prayer for the new month based on traditional liturgical sources.
Organize the Kosher for Passover advance sale of groceries. Fill the orders and have them ready for pickup on the last Sunday before the holiday begins.
Pesach Community Seder
Organize all aspects of the community seder including the place, decorations, caterer, and advance online reservations.
The first Sunday after the start of Pesach is resurrection Sunday. Organize, promote and oversee the details of this service.
Organize the daily counting of blessings for 49 days leading up to the 50th day, Shavuot.
Plan a congregational picnic on or around the 33rd day of the omer.
Holocaust Memorial Day.
Memorial day for those who died in defense of Israel.
Israel Independence Day.
Organize the 7th Sunday celebration of the giving of the Holy Spirit.
The 17th of Tammuz is a fast day to commemorate the breach of the walls of Jerusalem 3 weeks before the destruction of the 2nd Temple.

S'lichot (40 days)
Promote awareness of the 40 days prior to Yom Kippur; a time for repentance.
The Feast of Trumpets, aka Yom Teruah. We celebrate with traditional foods, worship and the sounding of the Shofar.
The Day of Atonement is a fast day that ends with a catered dinner as we break the fast together.
We build, occupy and tear down the tabernacle. During the holiday we invite the public in various ways to celebrate with us.

Organize and put on the Chanukah party.
We honor the creator of all creation on this new year for the trees by planting trees and doing other landscape beautification projects.
We read the Book of Esther with noise makers to blot out the name of H**** and promote dressing in costume for a real party atmosphere.
